How to make matcha and hojicha
Traditionally, there are two ways to prepare matcha and hojicha, Koicha (thick) and Usucha (thin) which are shared below and may be useful if you are new to making matcha at home. But really, you can make your matcha how you like.
Sometimes we drink ours straight. Other times in our favorite latte, smoothie, or iced beverage. However you make your matcha, make it your own.

Koicha

Gently whisk 2 tsp matcha or hojicha in 1 ounce of 176°F water until a paste is formed.
Usucha

Vigorously whisk 1 tsp matcha
 or hojicha
in 2 ounces of 176°F water until a
layer of delicate bubbles form.
