While any whisk (or fork) will get the job done, this hand-carved whisk, traditionally crafted by Kubo Masaki-san in Takayama, Nara - is carved from a single piece of black bamboo, features 100 bristles, and is finished with a custom black thread. It is suitable for whisking both Koicha (thick) and Usucha (thin) matcha.
